Chief Administrative and Financial Officer
Robin Cover is the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAO & CFO) for UCLA’s Office of Advanced Research Computing (OARC). Through OARC, Robin is the CFO of CESMII and is responsible for the financial oversight and planning, accounting, and purchasing functions.
Robin holds a BS in Business Management and has over 35 years of experience. Throughout her career she has led many strategic initiatives that have had a positive impact on multiple business areas, driving down costs and increasing performance. She has supported the implementation of multiple financial and business systems, major contract negotiations and operations, audits, and developed several business processes to improve efficiencies.
Prior to joining UCLA/CESMII, Robin held several key positions at the California Institute of Technology’s (Caltech) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). During that time she held key positions in the Finance Division, Mechanical Engineering Division and the Office of the CIO. She managed a team of business professionals that focused on all aspects of business operations including finance, contracts, human resources, facilities, EH&S and asset management.
Her experience with both government and academia along with her extensive understanding of the business of manufacturing and information technology positions her well to support CESMII’s diverse business needs.
