Raminder Sandhu

PROGRAM MANAGER

Raminder Sandhu joined the CESMII technical team as Program Manager in June of 2021. In this role, he oversees the planning, implementation, and monitoring of institute projects from proposal through execution. The portfolio will be comprised of manufacturing research projects of varying sizes across multiple regions in the US.

Raminder has over 20 years of experience in engineering, new product design and development, product marketing and product management, primarily in manufacturing automation.

Raminder’s technical background includes working with manufacturers on implementing robotics, machine vision and other manufacturing automation tools. This included managing the entire product life cycle from defining initial product strategy to product design, development, marketing, and delivery.

Prior to joining CESMII, Raminder was the Robotics Practice Lead at CMTC, where he advised California manufacturers in the MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) network. In his role as Robotics Practice Lead, Raminder also supported the Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute, providing technical oversight on research proposals submitted to ARM.

Raminder holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
