SME’s North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC) is recognized as North America’s preeminent and longest-running international forum for applied research and industrial applications in manufacturing and design with its presentations and publication of original, basic and applied research in advanced manufacturing.

Penn State, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering are pleased to host the co-located 54th NAMRI/SME North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC) and the ASME International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC) 2026.

June 14 – 18, 2026 | State College, PA

Bringing together researchers, practitioners, and industry leaders from around the world, the conference will spotlight cutting-edge advances across manufacturing systems and processes, additive manufacturing, smart manufacturing, cyber-physical systems, and materials processing. The week-long program will feature keynote addresses, peer-reviewed technical sessions, expert panels, tutorials, networking events, industry night, and award ceremonies, designed to accelerate collaboration, share breakthroughs, and strengthen the advanced manufacturing community.
