Smart Manufacturing Mindset™: Industrial AI, Data-sharing, & Value Creation
Smart Manufacturing Mindset™: Industrial AI, Data-sharing, & Value Creation
Twelve semiconductor fab operators have taken steps to lead their companies and their industry toward an AI-enabled future, committing to share and aggregate data across companies for mutual benefit. Join our next session of the CESMII Smart Manufacturing Mindset™ series to hear from one of those operator-company’s leaders along with supporting team members from NSF, UCLA, and CESMII.
This team represents a larger group that has been working together through a series of workshops* to get to this exciting time and share some initial findings with us. Of particular note, the team believes there’s a role for everyone. They note that cooperative engagement by small and medium-sized manufacturers on AI/ML for operational productivity is a pathway to:
- learn, scale, and draw value from data accumulated through years of experience on common problems;
- derive new insights on factory operations and products;
- lower many of the costs of entry; and
- attract more investment on addressing industry-specific challenges.
Realizing the full value of AI in manufacturing will require new, collaborative thinking and business models centered around gathering data at scale to generate network effects. Join us to learn what these leaders are thinking – and doing – together!
