New technologies are rapidly revolutionizing smart manufacturing with implications for industry, government, and the American workforce. Join the National Academies for a series of three workshops to study the state of the art in smart manufacturing technology; workforce, education and training needs; and the broader impacts for the U.S. economy and national competitiveness. This is a study informed by but intended to consider SM beyond the charters of the Manufacturing USA Institutes. During these workshops, participants will explore a wide range of impacts that smart manufacturing could have on industry, the U.S. economy, and the environment.
