The Clean Energy Smart Manufacturing Innovation Institute (CESMII) brings over $140 million in public-private investment to radically improve the precision, performance and efficiency of U.S. advanced manufacturing.

Smart Manufacturing Movement

The Institute will accelerate the development, access and adoption of advanced sensors, data analytics, controls and platforms in manufacturing while reducing the cost of these technologies by half, and radically improving the efficiency of U.S. advanced manufacturing. CESMII will tackle industry challenges and build a supporting workforce pipeline via Smart Manufacturing.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, CESMII is a national network of five Regional Manufacturing Centers (RMCs) each focused on local technology transfer and workforce development. CESMII works across business, workforce and technical focus areas, leveraging each region’s unique industrial environments. The RMCs are located in California, Washington, New York, North Carolina and Texas.
