Cost-savings are why you will stay. Discover the symbiotic relationship between sustainability and profitability. Explore how automation and technology can enhance plant efficiency\, trim waste\, optimize resources\, and reduce your carbon footprint. You’ll hear about the new industrial identity emerging in the US – unlocking new levels of productivity\, growth and competitiveness all contributing toward creating better industrial workplaces. Join us as we host a panel of US manufacturers to discuss unlocking the potential of sustainability for your business that will not only satisfy stakeholders but also elevate your competitive advantage. \nGreg Tink\, Director of Industrial Digital Transformation at Schneider Electric\nJim Davis\, UCLA Vice Provost Emeritus\, CESMII Program Oversight & Principal Investigator at CESMII\nModerated by Andre Marino SVP Industrial Automation Business at Schneider Electric \n___________________________________________________________ \nThe Intersection of Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing: Learn More \nLocation: Smart Factory Hub\, 1:25 PM – 2:10 PM \nThere are many ways to improve sustainability in manufacturing from changing light bulbs to using better sources of energy. However\, a stronger recipe for Sustainable Manufacturing is to combine these efforts with Smart Manufacturing and Digital Lean techniques to not only help the business achieve strategic outcomes\, but also improve efficiency and reduce waste of resources. \nIn this session we discuss how the future of manufacturing requires combining the efforts of Lean\, Sustainable\, and Smart Manufacturing to go beyond the manual reporting solutions and leverage techniques like IIoT sensors and Smart Manufacturing platforms to automate data collection and provide all the information insights needed to run operations efficiently. \nA sustainable factory creates goods in an ecologically friendly and resource-efficient manner. Advanced process control and optimization is what truly makes a system “smart” by going beyond the reporting dashboards and establishing proactive practices that use artificial intelligence (AI) to automate routine decisions and trigger action on alarming trends or non-routine situations. We will share examples of how manufacturers are using AI algorithms to optimize processes and save energy in multiple industries. \nConrad Leiva\, VP Ecosystem and Workforce Education at CESMII \n__________________________________________________________\nWhat Must Be True? Enabling Smart Manufacturing through Technology Interoperability: Learn More\nLocation: 205AB\, 2:15 PM – 3:00 PM \nTo build systems designed to evolve and scale\, we need a Smart Manufacturing Strategy rooted in established standards\, collaboration\, and technology reusability. CESMII is a Manufacturing USA institute focused on driving Smart Manufacturing innovation and adoption. In this session\, learn what a Smart Manufacturing Architecture must be capable of to avoid data silos and stovepipe architectures\, and enable modern\, portable\, and usable interoperable SM Solutions. We’ll showcase CESMII’s work to enable technology interoperability\, and how to adopt these best practices in your enterprise. \nOlivia Morales\, Senior Solutions Architect at CESMII\n___________________________________________________________\nVisit the Schneider Electric Booth #302 for Happy Hour 2:00PM-5:00PM\n___________________________________________________________
